A child’s dream became a man’s vision, when Delano A. Johnson, the founder of Geedad Family Entertainment, dared to envision his childhood dreams as real.

As a native of the Bahama Islands, Delano’s creative journey toward art and music began at the innocent age of five years of age. Buy the time he was eight years old, his 3rd grade teacher noticed his obsession with doodling cartoon characters and singing TV jingles under his breath during lessons. She was determine that he had a special gift and would often times encouraged him. During that same year, the class trip was announced and the destination was Orlando's crown jewel, Disney World florida. However, Delano was not to make this trip. His mother explained that her $83 a week salary was not enough magic to make his dream come true of the utopia play-land. It was then that he promised himself that one day he would build his own park where no matter how little your money was, every child could get in.

Little did young Delano know that he would get to make the school trip as a result of his teacher and mother advocating for him to receive a creative allowance. His teacher insisted that he be given the opportunity to attend because she believed his creative abilities in art and music would be enhanced by the experience. Indeed, the experience at Disney World changed his life forever! On the return trip from the “Mecca of family entertainment,” Delano began to daydream of his own fun park. He thought to himself that he would need a star character, hence Mr. Coco was born. Year after year, Delano would work on his idea by visiting theme parks and paying close attention to details. And just as his teacher anticipated, he excel in music, being the lead singer of the second group in his country’s history to be a recipient of a Grammy Award nomination. In art, he founded a successful graphic design firm in New Jersey with Fortune 500 clients.

Now some 25 years later, with the help of his lovely wife Tracye and their three children, Mr. Coco has evolved from a sketch character, to the deliciously marketable, Cocomon and the Fruitytoons™.

Delano explains, "The long incubation time has allowed me the opportunity to build a company from both a child's innocent perspective of fun and a parent’s nurturing concerns. Being a parent has strongly contributed to Geedad's value and philosophy. While Cocomon™ is just the first step in building the Geedad brand, I must say that I am compelled to push on by the thought of children around the world like the 8 year old I was, who just need the opportunity to see and be inspired that their simple dreams can become an important contribution to their country or even the world. I live for the grand opening of Geedad Family World, when I can drive in on a bus load of kids and watch the total amazement and joy on each face and wonder,... what would they all become in 25 years."
